"One less," the brutal tweet from Fat Dan that broke the official silence on the death of José "Pepe" Mujica.

After the death of former Uruguayan President José "Pepe" Mujica was announced, the dissenting voice among so many praises and emotional farewells was that of Daniel Parisini, better known as Gordo Dan . The pro-government influencer referred to the former president in a brutal manner: "One less."
The host of "La misa," the program broadcast on the libertarian streaming channel Carajo, where Javier Milei gave a six-hour interview less than a week ago, also addressed Mujica's militant past. "What a tremendous gangster you were in life, Pepe Mujica, goodbye," he commented on his X social media account.
The string of national and regional political figures who spoke out regarding the death of former President Mujica, who died Tuesday at his ranch in Rincón del Cerro, a town on the outskirts of Montevideo, almost unanimously emphasized the importance of the Uruguayan figure in transcending partisan and geopolitical barriers.
However, the national government has remained silent. So far, no government department (neither the President, nor the Presidential Spokesperson's Office, nor the Foreign Ministry, nor any other ministry) has commented on Mujica's death.
But Daniel Parisini, the libertarian influencer better known as Gordo Dan, considered the opposite. Hours after Mujica's death was announced, he used his X account to express himself, in several posts.
Fat Dan's tweets against José "Pepe" Mujica, following the death of the former president of Uruguay.
The first one reads: " Grok , please list Pepe Mujica's crimes if you would be so kind." He was referring to the artificial intelligence assistant on the X platform, which returned a compendium of some of the actions Mujica undertook as a Tupamaro militant in the late 1960s and 1970s.
"Assaults and robberies, shootouts, city takeovers; two murders; kidnappings and prison breaks. What a tremendous gangster you were in life, Pepe Mujica. Goodbye," wrote Fat Dan in another post, citing screenshots of what he presumably described as Grok's account of Mujica's actions.
Minutes later, he again attacked the memory of the former Uruguayan president, citing a plaque bearing a Mujica quote that reads: "You shouldn't stand in front of a tank." "One less," mocked Fat Dan.

Parisini is one of the libertarian influencers with the closest access to Javier Milei, whom he interviewed several times on his streaming channel, Carajo . He has even been the one to question, on social media, the actions of some officials who, hours after the publication of "Fat Dan," were expelled from the national cabinet, even though he himself had not announced the dismissal of a particular official under scrutiny.
Hours after sparking a firestorm with his remarks about the death of the former Uruguayan president, Parisini justified himself at the beginning of his program "La Misa" on Carajo. "We're going to start with the controversy, of course," he began.
"Fat Dan is on the news all over the country because he said 'One less,'" he said, laughing, in conversation with Mariano Pérez, another active pro-government communicator on social media who was part of the program's panel. "I've received many messages of love," Parisini continued sardonically.
OBVIOUSLY we're going to CELEBRATE the deaths of terrorists, dictators, murderers, and kidnappers. pic.twitter.com/2O5hNMdpx4

And he continued his argument: "I included that infamous phrase of his ['We must not stop...', by Mujica], which he said after a massacre perpetrated by the dictatorship of Nicolás Maduro. How nice, how nice. But it turns out that we have to reconcile ourselves with their dead, we have to cry now for their dead, who are terrorists who planted bombs and killed people, police officers and peasants from behind, who robbed banks..."
"Not even on the last day of his life did he ever express regret for it. He never said, 'What I did was wrong,' " Fat Dan concluded.
The one who did address both Mujica's death and Parisini's controversial reaction was Lucille "Lula" Levy, a candidate for Buenos Aires City legislator. The first candidate on the Legislative ticket for the Evolution party in the City next Sunday, responded to El Gordo Dan's publication: "Mujica chose to live with austerity, you with resentment . To each his own."
Parisini retorted to Levy, responding to his X post. "Mujica chose to kill police officers and celebrate the massacre of [Nicolás] Maduro. I chose to be a son of a bitch , but I didn't go as far as him."

The exchange between Levy and Parisini this Tuesday isn't the first. Previously, they had clashed over a taunt El Gordo Dan made just after Levy launched her candidacy for Evolución, the party founded by Radical Martín Lousteau to compete in the city.
"I swear, I swear, I would look at the proposals in your bio link if only I knew who you are ," Parisini taunted Levy, in a post she had made to list some of her proposals for the Legislature, if she is elected in next Sunday's elections.
"Disparaging your favorite sport. Those who have no arguments can only become famous with money from the SIDE," Levy responded with heavy ammunition.
